Aptitude Training Programme on Competitive Examinations Conducted
The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Department of Commerce, and Career Guidance and Placement Cell of Bhandarkars’ Arts & Science College, Kundapura, jointly organized an aptitude training programme titled “Aptitude to Achievement: Mastering Competitive Exams for a Bright Future” on 11 August 2026 at R. N. Shetty Hall. The programme commenced at 11:30 a.m. and was designed to equip students with the aptitude, reasoning, and analytical skills required to excel in various competitive examinations.
The programme began with a formal welcome and introduction to the significance of competitive examinations in shaping successful careers. The event was graced by Dr. Shubhakarachary, Principal, Prof. Sathyanarayana, Student Welfare Officer, Mr. Arun A. S., Head of the Department of Commerce, Mrs. Mamatha, Commerce Association Coordinator, Mrs. Omshree, Events Coordinator, and Mr. Ganesh Kumar, Programme Coordinator.
The resource person for the session was Ms. Kavya M. R., Manager, T.I.M.E. (Triumphant Institute of Management Education Pvt. Ltd.), Udupi Branch. In her informative and engaging session, she emphasized the growing importance of aptitude and analytical skills in today's competitive job market. She explained the structure and requirements of various competitive examinations such as Banking, SSC, Insurance, Civil Services, Railways, Management Entrance Tests, and other government recruitment examinations.
Ms. Kavya provided valuable insights into the key areas of aptitude preparation, including quantitative aptitude, logical reasoning, data interpretation, verbal ability, and problem-solving techniques. She also discussed effective time management strategies, examination preparation methods, and the importance of consistent practice. Through practical examples and interactive discussions, students gained a better understanding of how to approach aptitude questions efficiently and improve their performance in competitive examinations.
The programme witnessed active participation from students, who enthusiastically interacted with the resource person and clarified their doubts regarding examination patterns, career opportunities, and preparation strategies. The session served as an eye-opener for many students and motivated them to begin systematic preparation for competitive examinations at an early stage.
The programme was compered by Ms. Sanjana Das, III B.Com, who efficiently coordinated the proceedings and contributed to the smooth conduct of the event. The programme was successfully organized by the Department of Commerce and the Career Guidance and Placement Cell under the guidance of the Principal and the Head of the Department.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the resource person, dignitaries, faculty members, and students for their active participation and support in making the programme a grand success.
