Report on Orientation Program on Employability Linked Skilling Program β Tally with GST
The Department of Commerce, Bhandarkarsβ Arts & Science College, Kundapura, organized an Orientation Program on Employability Linked Skilling Program β Tally with GST on 8 August 2026 at R. N. Shetty Hall from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. The programme was conducted with the support of Standard Chartered Bank through its CSR Initiative, implemented by Udyoga Access LLP in collaboration with AISECT.
The programme commenced with a warm welcome to the dignitaries and participants. The orientation aimed to create awareness among students about industry-relevant skill development opportunities and enhance their employability through professional certification in Tally with GST.
The session was addressed by the guest speakers Mr. Maria Gerald Victor, Managing Director, Udyoga Access LLP; Mr. Nithindra, CEO, Udyoga Access LLP; and Mr. Aravinda Thodar Pai, Udyoga Access LLP. The speakers highlighted the growing demand for skilled accounting professionals, the importance of GST knowledge in the modern business environment, and the career opportunities available for students who acquire practical accounting and taxation skills.
The resource persons provided detailed information about the Employability Linked Skilling Program, including course structure, training methodology, certification process, and placement support. They encouraged students to utilize the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in Tally and GST, which are highly valued by employers across industries.
The programme was coordinated by Mrs. Divya Marita Fernandes, Program Coordinator, Department of Commerce, and Mrs. Mamatha, Commerce Association Coordinator. The event was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Shubhakarachary, Principal, and Mr. Arun A. S., Head of the Department of Commerce.
The orientation programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from the students of the Department of Commerce. The session successfully motivated students to enroll in the skilling programme and understand the significance of professional skill development in improving employability and career prospects.
